To support the College effort on the clearing of weeds and bushes in the Campus, the 2007/2008 Set of Alumni of Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, (CAILS) has donated two (2) set of Bush Cutters to the College on 13th November, 2023.
The Alumini Protem Chairman Mr. Funsho Kabir and Mr. Isiaq Ahmed Babatunde representing the Set has presented the machines to the College Management.
The Registrar, while receiving the items on behalf of the College Management said, "It is part of the effort of the College Management to make the College environment safer and conducive for learning. Speaking further, he reiterated the fact that "the Management will make the judicious use of the machines. The machines will make the College environment more friendly for both the Staff and Students".
He thanked the Alumni Association immensely for the kind gesture towards the development of the College.
Speaking on behalf of the Association, , Mr. Yusuf Funsho Kabir said, “It is our belief that the development of the College must not be left to Government alone but it should be a collective effort of people of like minds." The Alumni will ensure that more tangible projects are coming to the College in the nearest future.
The Director of Academic Planning , Quality Assistance and Entrepreneurship Ustaz Kamaldeen Sofiyullahi Kamaldeen appreciated the Association. He said that “overgrown verges or bushes pose a lot of dangers in terms of visibility which could prevent Staff and Students from walking freely in the Campus. He stated further that " cleaning up College was not just for beautification but also a safer place to live.
He heartedly thanked the Alumni on behalf of Management.The Deputy Registrar Establishments, Hajia Haroon Maryam Wumi also thanked the Alumni for the donation and called on other well-meaning individuals to emulate the Association and urged them to reach out to other like minds to support the development of the College accordingly.
The Alumni later took a facility tour of the College to better understand the challenges confronting the Institution. At the inspections led by the Director of APEQ, the Alumni were able to communicate with students on career guidance and capacity building.
