One of the ways to be in tandem with global standard as an institution of higher learning is the ability to adequately put infrastructure into consideration for students utilities.

On Thursday 6th June, 2024, Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies CAILS, Ilorin held the foundation -laying ceremony for its proposed Honourable Justice Abdul-Lateef Kamaldeen Moot Court Clinic.

The Acting Provost, Dr. Sa'ad Hadi who made these assertions at the official foundation -laying ceremony of Moot Court Clinic, noted that it was a bold step towards educational advancement.

He reiterated that " Having this kind of donation from our Alumni was one of the blessings from almighty Allah to the College.

He added that, "In this regard, I want to urge all Alumni Association members to see this College as part of their own and also think of what to do for the betterment of the College. As a result of this, we are very grateful to Grand Kadi being not the first time he has been helping the College. We pray that Almighty Allah will continue to be his assistant and always meeting him at points of needs Amin."

Speaking on behalf of Staff and Students of School Law, the Dean, Barrister Ajumobi Azeezat Arikewuyo appreciated the Grand Kadi for his kind gestures. She announced that efforts were made in the past to ensure the Moot Clinic to be built but turned futile.

The Dean however, discribed the importance of the project as an avenue where students gain an institutionally Law practical experience after the completion.

The ceremony climaxed with the formal laying of the foundation blocks which was performed by the Grand Kadi of Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal Ilorin, Honourable Justice Abdul-Lateef Kamaldeen.

The Honourable Justice said that " I feel honoured to be a product of this College. I was exposed to the Common Law, I was exposed to Conventional Law and I was exposed to English Law by this College. I can boldly say it every where that I feel hourned to be part of the product of this great Institution." He thanked the Management for the sustainability of the College.

Finally, it is important to note that the project was facilitated by the Director, Directorate of Academic Planning, Entrepreneurship and Quality Assurance (DAPEQA) Ustaz Kamaldeen Sofiyullahi Kamaldeen.
