THE SCHOOL OF LAW INTER CHAMBER QUIZ AND DEBATE COMPETITION
The competition began at 12noon at Lecture Hall On 28th of July, 2023.
The Law Department of Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies holds their Inter Chamber Competition between the following Chambers;
- Advocate Chamber
- Sterling Chamber
- Jurist Chamber.
Where all Chambers were represented by three (3) participants.
The program was honored by the Deputy Provost Academics Barr. Adam Toyin Jamiu, the Director of College Examination Dr, Mrs Balikis Ayinla Ahmad (esq), the HOD Common Law Brr. Saka Fatai Adabale esq, Law Students Adviser, Brr. Ibrahim Shuaib Esq and the two competition judges Brr. Ahmad o Murtadha and Brr. Saadudeen olayinka Ishaq Esq.
The competition started with opening prayer and recitation from the holy Quran by Haruna Muhammad.
However, questions were picked from different courses like
- Legal method
- Contract law
- Law of crime and tort
- Law of evidence
- Criminal law.
The representatives of the each chambers performed excellently.
After the completion of the competition, the judges pronounced the results accordingly, where Jurist Advocate and Sterling Chambers shared the following 40,44 and 50 points respectively.
In conclusion, Jurist Chamber was relegated while Sterling and Advocate Chambers are moving to the next stage of competition.
